Grand Bazaar is one of the world’s biggest and oldest closed area markets. On a busy day nearly half a million people visit the actively used Grand Bazaar. With a reminiscent massive labyrinth look, the bazaar was built in 1461, and was stretched into a spectacular shopping mall with recent restorations made up of 64 streets containing over four thousand shops. The Grand Bazaar also hosts unique events of the Concept Team, which was also the place to hold and protect most of the Ottoman Empire’s treasury in history. This also means that the Grand Bazaar was the heart of economics of the imperial times and the bazaar is known to be one of the oldest banking system centers of the world.
